Why you should tune in: If the fact that four of the top 25 teams from last season’s final AP poll are in the field doesn’t quite persuade you, consider the fact that a pair of those teams could meet in a consolation game. That should give you a better indication of the level of talent within this year’s bracket. Now add in a feisty UCLA team with a Top-10 recruiting class and a Georgetown squad seeking to prove itself after a down season.
The Battle 4 Atlantis has been a unique preseason tournament in the past few years because the top-ranked teams have only reached the championship game together once in the last three years. Last year’s winner, an unranked Villanova squad, knocked off No. 2 Kansas and No. 23 Iowa State before taking home the trophy.
