Furthermore, the Battlefield 1 Exclusive Collector’s Edition contains the Deluxe version of the base game, including the Red Baron Pack, which has a Triplane as a vehicle, a P08 sidearm, and an emblem inspired by the pilot. Plus, it will have the Lawrence of Arabia pack, with Lawrence of Arabia’s Black Stallion for transport, his SMLE rifle, a Jambiya for melee attacks, and an emblem. There’s also different visual variations for Battlefield 1’s three largest vehicles, including the Frontline Camouflage Train, the Night Raid Airship, and the Dazzle Camouflage Dreadnought.
Should fans wish to get a better idea of what Battlefield 1 is going to actually play like before dropping such serious coinage on the Exclusive Collector’s Edition, it will eventually be possible to get a feel for the game, as the shooter will have an open beta. However, developers have also announced that EA Insiders—that is, subscribers to the game publisher’s specific social service—will get early access.
Save for Battlefield 1’s official reveal trailer there isn’t much concrete evidence indicative of how the final product could look and play, especially since it just got announced today. Though DICE and Electronic Arts have confirmed massive multiplayer battles with up to 64 players with maps designed after locations from World War I, the recent leak of there only being six campaign missions is disconcerting to say the least. Nevertheless, it’s best to reserve judgment considering the fact that developers will surely have more details about Battlefield 1 to come.
Battlefield 1 is set for release on October 21, 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
